About Kaizou
Kaizou is a format for describing modifications to be applied to a web page after it has been loaded into a browser. You can use Kaizou to :
- share your thoughts on a particular page by commenting it,
- provide an unofficial revamping of a specific web page,
- apply a text converter to any page (like ’see the web as yoda does’).

Kaizou exists in two flavors:
- Kaizou-links or “klinks” are special links that can be embedded in Web pages. Clicking on a Klink will open the corresponding target page and apply the Kaizou modifications to it,
- Kaizou files are specific filters that can be installed in your browser and automatically applied on all pages matching a given URL pattern.
All flavors of Kaizou are actually based on the same description format that, despite having been defined with simplicity in mind, is based on XML, and thus not very user-friendly. For that reason, the Kaizou extension includes a minimal editor that hides the XML complexity to non-geek users.
Today, only Firefox supports Kaizou as a stand-alone feature, using the Kaizou Firefox Extension.
Kaizou.org however provides a server-based Kaizou engine compatible with both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
